XHibit Live

XHibit Live was all about getting young performers in Dumfries and Galloway together, featuring local headliners Vanives, who’ve been making waves in the music scene. Our goal was to set up a stage for highlighting the local talent that’s shaping the future of the arts, giving artists a boost in their careers.

Five awesome young artists—Kate Kyle, Lewis Shaw, Sarah Law, Laura Currie, and Shaunie Craig—were chosen to be part of this gig.

On November 12, 2021, we rocked the first XHibit Live show at the Venue Dumfries. The idea was to give these young musicians a chance to create and perform their work in a top-notch venue alongside seasoned professionals. It was a fantastic opportunity for both the young artists and us to learn and grow.

However, a mix of venue accessibility issues, illness, and transportation challenges meant that a few of our selected artists couldn’t hit the stage that day. They strutted their stuff at our 2022 festival instead. We swooped in TORRS at the last minute, and their impromptu performance turned out to be a major win.
