The Solway Songline

Join singer-songwriter Zoë Bestel for the launch of The Solway Songline, a new project supported by the ‘Up Yer Airts DIY Fund’ celebrating rural community venues by hosting live folk and roots music from across and outwith Dumfries & Galloway. 

Inspired by her upbringing in Wigtownshire and the strong cultural networks that shaped her as a musician, Zoë aims to connect communities through music, establishing a rural touring network throughout the region.

In partnership with Up Yer Airts, the pilot showcase at Port Logan Hall will feature a young local support act, headline performances from Galloway-born Caitlin Gilligan, Glasgow-raised Kenneth Noah Blair & Julen Santamaria, and short bookending sets from Zoë. The evening marks the beginning of a long-term vision to strengthen live music access and nurture emerging talent across rural southwest Scotland.
