People of Gallovidia we are BACK!

On the 22nd of June 2024 in Castle Douglas Town Hall we are bringing you an even bigger and badder line up, featuring both homegrown and some of the best in the biz in the international Soundsystem scene.

Without further ado, here is our Summer 2024 line up:

Mungo’s Hi Fi Soundsystem with Aziza Jaye, Parly B & Tom Spirals:

Dougie No Pain, Craigy Wonder, Breezak Bass and Tommy Danger are the Scottish collective known as Mungo’s Hi Fi. Mungo’s love soundsystem culture to the core – from its Jamaican roots to raves, club and festivals.
 
When performing as DJs, playing on their heavyweight soundsystem, producing music, collaborating with vocalists and releasing artists on their label, Scotch Bonnet, they create a uniquely uplifting experience.
 
Mungos Hifi are bringing Aziza Jaye, Parly B and Tom Spirals along for the ride.

Sean Focus:

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, now based in Edinburgh, Sean Focus connects the dots between his heritage and his new home to create an international sound inspired by his life across continents. His music is rooted in afro-pop, dancehall and hip hop, using his experience as a sound engineer, with each track he delves into an expansive sonic palette creating his unique sound. Fastest growing Scottish artist on the scene he has been heavily supported by BBC 1Xtra, Apple Music Radio, Capital Xtra & BBC Introducing with tastemakers DJ Target, Kenny Allstar & Charlie Sloth supporting his releases. He continues to be an artist to be watched in 2022.

EYVE:

“A fresh blend of genres, honest lyrics that speak to a new synergy of listeners who are looking for music that reflects their values and experiences.” – That is the shortest way to describe Eyve’s music.

Eyve is a Zimbabwean singer songwriter and rapper based in Glasgow. Her music is a unique blend of hip hop, trap, jazz and her African roots, and she is committed to bringing authenticity by sharing her lived experience through hervoice.

Eyve writes songs based on her own life experiences, social and political issues. Being a passionate advocate for gender equality and inclusivity, particularly for women and non-binary individuals.
