Join us for a day that promises to be truly instrumental in bringing our community together. Dumfries Drum Day is more than just an event – it’s a rhythmic celebration that will leave a lasting impact on everyone involved.

Whether you’re a seasoned drummer or picking up sticks for the first time, Dumfries Drum Day has something for you. Our diverse lineup will not only entertain but also inspire and educate, making this day pivotal in nurturing a love for rhythm and music in our community.

What to Expect

Main Stage Performances

Enjoy electrifying performances by some of Scotland’s top drummers. Witness a variety of drumming styles and skills diving deep into topics like studio production, hybrid drumming and performing live.

Workshops

Our lineup of professional drummers will be leading workshops throughout the day in the Education Room. Both beginner and intermediate level workshops will be available for you to sign up for and play on either an electronic drum kit or practice pad.

Young Drummer Performances

Featuring the region’s next generation of drummers performing some of their favourite songs with a live band. These young drummers will be kicking off the event so make sure you’re there from the start to show them some support!

Fastest Drummer Competition

Running all day throughout the event will be the Fastest Drummer Competition using the world renown Drumometer. See how many single strokes you can play in 60 seconds on your hands – and even your feet! There will be prizes available for fastest hands and fastest feet in different age categories.

Exhibitor Area

Explore the latest in custom drums, gear and educational materials. Talk to the people behind the companies, try out different gear, and maybe even take home your next favourite drum!

A bar will be available on-site to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
